Viewers of last night's Doctor Who may be surprised to find that it cocks quite quietly, and it certainly does not spontaneously make a loud, dramatic "KA-CHIKK!" sound each time its user points it at someone.

For all its weaknesses, I rather enjoyed this week's Doctor Who. I trust RTD to screw it up next week, of course. And if he hurts Sarah Jane, I'll be very annoyed indeed.

So, am I the only UK librarian to put up a notice this morning saying;
STAY OUT OF THE SHADOWS?

New series of Doctor Who starts next Saturday. Not holding out great hopes - I think the great love story/soap opera will continue unabated, and there are bound to be bits that annoy me. Had a quiet few days at my mother's place.  She talked a lot, but there were no quotes worthy of convoswithmom.
Took her for lunch on Wednesday, as belated birthday treat.

Went to Burn Soo Bright last night.  Another well Airwolf evening.  Good to see Franck again and have a beer or two.  The theme was "transport" and Pete had tricked out his decks with a "car" bonnet and windscreen, with lights and windscreen wipers and everything.  The DJs all had "be seen, be safe" hi-vi strips on their clothes.  minx2012 played a set, ( Read more... )
